Tescan at the EMBL Imaging Centre Symposium
Tescan will participate in the EMBL Imaging Centre Symposium, taking place in Heidelberg on 13–14 October. The symposium brings together experts from the life-science imaging community to exchange knowledge and explore developments in cryo-electron microscopy (cryo-EM) and advanced imaging workflows.
About EMBL Imaging Centre Symposium
As part of the event, Tescan will host a dedicated workshop focused on advanced cryo-electron microscopy workflows, including large-volume Xe PFIB milling, cryo-SEM imaging, lamella milling, and image correlation.
Participants will also have the opportunity to see a practical demonstration of the Tescan SOLARIS X 2, exploring its role in cryogenic FIB-SEM workflows and sample preparation for advanced electron microscopy.
Cryo-EM Workshop and Practical Demonstration
The workshop will cover key stages of cryo-electron microscopy sample preparation and imaging, with a focus on:
- Large-volume Xe PFIB milling
- Cryo-SEM imaging
- Lamella milling and preparation
- Image correlation
- Cryo-FIB-SEM workflows using Tescan SOLARIS X 2
The session provides an opportunity to explore practical approaches to cryogenic sample preparation and discuss developments in cryo workflows for life-science imaging.
Meet the Tescan Team
Jana Šmídová and Martina Zanova will be onsite during the EMBL Imaging Centre Symposium, supporting discussions around cryo-electron microscopy, sample preparation, and life-science imaging workflows.
With a fully booked symposium and strong interest in the workshop, the event brings together leading experts from the life-science imaging community and provides an opportunity to exchange knowledge and explore the latest developments in cryo workflows.
